iQOO Neo 7: Quick Specification And Price

iQOO neo 7 launched on February 17 in India. This new Premium Midrange Phone is the successor of the iQOO neo 6, which was launched the previous year for under 30000 Rs. 

There are some big Upgrades in iQOO neo 7 compared to its predecessor iQOO neo 6 such as an increased charging speed from 80W to 120W. As well as a larger camera sensor, the phone also has better video and picture quality. Moreover, it boasts a MediaTek Dimensity 8200 SoC that is relatively more powerful.

iQOO, however, did not make substantial changes to certain areas, such as the design. However, compared with its predecessors, the price of the new-gen model remains relatively unchanged.

While most brands today prefer flat frame designs, iQOO Neo 7 continues to offer curved rear panels and frames.

iQOO Neo 7 has a polycarbonate body but still it’s not look cheap on hand. The back of the phone has a matte finish that resists fingerprints and smudges.

This phone also looks premium thanks to the gradient that is visible when light hits the rear panel.

It is also well distributed in terms of weight. According to the manufacturer, the iQOO Neo 7 5G weighs 193 grams and measures 8.58 mms thick.

The iQOO Neo 7 5G has a 6.78-inch display on the front.This smartphone has the same screen size as the flagship iQOO 11 5G (Review), but it comes with a full-HD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. There is a flat screen and relatively thin bezels around it. iQOO Neo 7 5G has the thickest chin at 2.65mm, and overall the screen-to-body ratio is 93.11 percent.

There is HDR10+ support on the screen, and WideVine L1 support has also been detected by Netflix. The speakers are fairly loud and provide a good multimedia experience. 

Channel imbalance is evident in the earpiece, which serves as a secondary audio outlet as well as the primary speaker at the bottom. 

Under direct sunlight, I had no problems using the iQOO Neo 7 5G. As it offers 1300 Nits Bright display which works well in any light conditions. 

A punch hole is located at the front side of the display, which secures the selfie camera.

iQOO Neo 7 is powered with Dimensity 8200 by MediaTek. Its predecessor Neo 6 has a snapdragon 870 SoC which is already a very good processor. But Dimensity 8200 is Even More powerful for high gaming and performance tasks. 

If we talk about multitasking, then switching between two apps is very smooth and fast.

5. Camera

If we talk about the camera then there is not any noticeable change between iQOO neo 6 and iQOO neo 7 in camera.

It comes with a triple camera 64 Mp primary camera, 2 Mp depth and 2 Mp Macro camera setup.

All photos come out with natural colors, which is good. In some conditions saturation was low but still it gives overall good photos. 

The phone also has OIS support, but it doesn’t work as it should. The camera can record videos up to 4K at 60 fps so there are no 8k video recording options.

I am impressed with the 16 Mp Front Camera on the front which captures the image with a great amount of details. 

A selfie camera can record videos at 30fps in Full HD. It would have been nice if iQOO had at least supported 60 fps.

After testing one thing i can say that if you are looking for the best camera phone then you should look for google pixel 6a or Nothing phone 1. 

If you want a decent camera phone with high performance, then you should buy this iQOO Neo 7.

There is a big Improvement in the battery department in iQOO neo 7. It has a 5000 mAh battery which supports 120 watt fast charging.

The iQOO promises to charge 48% of a battery in 10 minutes. By playing games the whole day at 120hz refresh rate, with 5G running in the background, the battery lasts for the whole day.

In short, iQOO Neo 7 will not disappoint you in-terms of battery performance.

iQOO Neo 7 runs on Funtouch OS 13 which is based on android 13. There are lots of improvements in Funtouch Os 13 but still it contains some bloatware.

While using apps I found some glitches even while installing app play store required force shutdown. Which I think iQOO will solve in upcoming updates.

It has the latest security patch update. iQOO Promises 2 years of os updates and 3 years of security updates.

iQOO is known for its gaming and high-performance value for money phones. We played some games like Call of Duty, Asphalt 9, Angry Birds 2. 

All games were running smoothly on this phone and there was not any heating issue. Even battery performance was very good while playing the games.

iQOO has lots of in-built gaming modes like gaming mode prompt which is available right side of the phone while gaming allows the user to boost the performance of the phone while gaming.

It boosts the colors and response rate while gaming, in short it makes an immersive experience while gaming. Because of its power pack performance this phone is at top list of best phones under 30000.

iQOO Neo 7 is not an extraordinary phone. We have already seen similar features at the same price.

But it will definitely force rivals to make extremely feature-packed phones like iQOO neo 7 at a similar price.
